Came into Augusta to sample restaurants for upcoming son's wedding rehearsal dinner. Frog Hollow Tavern didn't disappoint. Service was quick and attentive. Very pleased with the attention we received. Loved my Braised Pork Shoulder with the Feta Mac & Cheese. Very tasty and filling. My wife had the Swordfish that was on special. She found it a bit salty. Nice restaurant with a pleasant vibe. Overall, very satisfied and still in consideration for the upcoming event.

We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day early this year and chose Frog Hollow Restaurant for our special evening. It was a romantic night, made even better by our fantastic server, Rachel. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion, and I highly recommend getting a reservation, as this place gets busy! Food Ratings: Quail: 5/5 - Perfectly cooked and flavorful. Apple Carpaccio: 5/5 - A delightful, refreshing dish. She-Crab Soup: 5/5 - Rich and comforting, a must-try. Mussels: 4/5 - Extremely fresh, though slightly lacking in seasoning. Scallops: 2/5 - While the scallops were cooked perfectly, the entire dish lacked flavor. Bone-In Pork Chop: 4.5/5 - Juicy and well-seasoned. Duck Breast: 5/5 - Delicious, cooked to perfection. Brussels Sprouts (cooked in duck fat): 4/5 - Rich and satisfying. Mac and Cheese: 5/5 - Creamy and indulgent, a crowd-pleaser. Goat Cheesecake: 4/5 - Smooth and tangy, a lovely dessert. Crème Brûlée: 5/5 - Perfectly executed, with a crisp top and creamy interior. Frog Hollow delivered a memorable dining experience. Despite minor misses, the quality and service made it a night to remember.

Have had frog hollow twice now for sales rep events and each time has been a decently enjoyable experience. Listing some of the food items I have had Duck mousse (3.5/5): When I ordered this I was expecting something a bit more decadent like foie gras, but it was definitely more of a paste. It was rich and was balanced well with the fig and lemon jam, but in my opinion it was a bit too salty. Tomato salad (4.5/5): Multiple tomatos in varied stage of ripeness along with a tomato vinagrette and feta cheese. Honestly if you are going for any type of salad, this is the one to go for. The pickled onions and tomato vinagrette add a refreshing tartness. Some of the riper tomatoes add a bit of sweetness, and the feta cheese give some creaminess and salt to the dish. Every bite different in texture and taste and overall my favorite appetizer they have (definitely superior to their ice berg lettuce wedge I tried from a friend). Pork shoulder (4/5): This seems to be their special main course, what they are known for. Decent sized hunk of pork shoulder with a sweet glaze sauce/jus that comes with collard greens and gouda mac and cheese. The pork shoulder could have been a bit more tender, but the sauce helps add moisture and a sweet acidity to it to help with this. The gouda mac and cheese is layered almost like lasagna and has a smoky crust at the top while having generous amounts of gooey cheese in between each lasagna pasta layer. The collard greens have a strong vinegar taste but a mild sweetness to it and goes well with the pork and mac. Pork special (3.5/5): Pork brined and cooked with brown butter finish. This was a dish pretty similar to their pork shoulder special but with less of a sweet sauce. It was really thick and juicy but again slightly lacking in tenderness. The sides were a pretty standard squash with almond. Cocktails are all excellent, (5/5):I loved the apple fuji and the tea hive. They taste lightly of alcohol due to the apple or honey/tea flavor, yet they are not too overbearingly sweet. Apple fuji is refreshing and the tea hive is like a honey sweet tea with a slight alcohol kick. Honestly have to be careful with these cocktails because you can definitely have more than a few since they're so addicting. Overall always enjoyable having frog hollow especially for events. I find it to be consistently solid and would come here for the cocktails alone. May try some other dishes apart from pork the next time I am back.

Is it fair to give a place 5 stars even though you've only been there once? Lol. We love this place. It's business casual: no flip-flops no hats no athletic wear, white table cloths. Service was awesome! Our meal was spaced out perfectly with small short break in between. We were not rushed at all. We ate more than we should have, getting 1 entrée as an appetizer with an actual appetizer! The crab cake and mussels were delicious. The mussels were Cajun style with that creole jambalaya taste and a kick. The crab cake was huge (7oz) paired with that simple arugula salad. My husband had the perfection pork chops with [I don't know how they made that corn bread salad mixed], and I had that buttery scallops with cheesy asparagus risotto. I don't know how else to describe this place other than "I wish we lived closer"

What a dining experience, great wait staff, friendly- very attentive and great atmosphere(playing Yacht Rock music in background). Overall give Frog a 4.7 would have gave higher but the server over hyped andouille smoked sausage. I had one of the best pork chop ever had- perfectly cooked- brine was amazing and very juicy- served with potatoes and peas. The Mac N Cheese was off the chart- amazing along with Scallops was excellent. Highly reccomend the Srouts and Crème Brûlée. One of the best spots in Augusta if not the best. Will be back! Thank you for a great dining experience during The Masters weekend! Amazing farm to table restaurant!
